Monday the 31st of October 2016 we will host a seminar in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The results from the survey on the situation of Deaf Interpreters in Europe will be presented.
We will also present some of the ongoing (linguistic and ethnographic) studies of the work of deaf interpreters.
In the evening the day before, on the 30th of October, we will arrange a ”Deaf pub” with a talk by the life-long advocate for sign language and training of sign language interpreters, Asger Bergmann.
Come and get inspiration and something delicious to eat and drink at the “Deaf pub”. The “Deaf pub” takes place in one of world’s oldest Deaf Club house (built in 1898).
During May more information will be posted on the webpage and sent to the relevant stakeholders, who are deaf interpreters, hearing interpreters, sign language interpreter educators, also EUD and the deaf associations will be welcomed.
Keep an eye on this webpage for more information on this seminar.
